Lesson 2: Adding Basic Virtuemart Products

In this video we show you how to add simple basic products to Virtuemart within the Joomla Content Management System. We talk through each of the product creation fields, what they do and where they appear on the customer facing side through the template. We discuss the product alias and the product URL that it helps to form, as well as its SEO implications.  We explain the SKU (stock keeping unit), manufacturer pages, categories and canonical categories, global trade item numbers, manufacturer parts numbers. We also discuss the customizability of the products details page; limiting products to specific shopper groups.
